DxOMark ranks Moto X Style as the third best camera phone

Good news for motorola fans ;)

Hot on the heels of the Moto X Style announcement, DxOMark Mobile published an extensive review of the device’s 21MP camera. With a score of 83, Motorola’s brand new flagship is the third best camera phone according to DxOMark Mobile.
Moto X Style lags only behind Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the prestigious mobile photography rankings. The newcomers scored the same 83 points in both the still photo and the video section of DxOMark’s test.

In the still photography section, DxOMark gave Moto X Style props for well exposed photos, accurate autofocus and white balance, as well as good deals and low noise in outdoor shots. The images’ colors were also praised.
Slightly unstable autofocus and overexposed images with flash and saturation in photos of blue sky drag the device’s score down. The same goes for occasionally clipped bright areas in an image.
The video capturing capabilities of the smartphone received high marks for detail preservation in all light conditions and fast adjustments of exposure and white balance. The video stabilization of the handset is also hailed as one of the best to date.
Downsides in the videography section came from slow autofocus in low light conditions, noticeable color shading in tungsten lighting, and stabilization artifacts. The latter appeared in an indoor walking test

Alleged live photos of Moto X (2015) make the rounds online

More alleged live photos of the upcoming Moto X (2015) made the rounds online. The successor of Moto X (2014) will make its official debut next week, on July 28 alongside anupdated Moto G.
The leaked photos reveal that, overall, the next-generation Moto X will unsurprisingly feature the same design language as the outgoing model. However, in line with past leaks, the newcomer will feature a more conventional camera LED flash setup on than its predecessor.
As it turns out, the next Moto X will also feature a front-facing LED flash. The latter will surely appeal to all users who are keen to take selfies.

Rumored specs of the next Moto X include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 5.2” or 5.5” QHD AMOLED display, 16MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 32GB or 64GB storage, and 3,280 mAh battery.

Motorola Teases A "Better Mobile Relationship" With July 28th Livestream!

Motorola has something to announce later this month, and it's teasing it in a bizarre fashion. According to the Moto blog, "a better mobile relationship is headed your way." Whatever romantic entanglement Motorola has planned, we'll find out on July 28th.

The blog post offers no details, but we can certainly speculate. This is probably going to be some sort of phone announcement with Moto Maker. That means it could be a new Moto X, Moto G, or maybe both. We recently saw a leak of the updated Moto G with Moto Maker-style customization. It would be a little early for a new Moto X, but that's not out of the question.
Whatever's going on, we'll find out July 28th. And yes, that's the day after the OnePlus 2 announcement.
