Photos reveal box for the third-generation Motorola Moto G; model shown has 16GB of memory

Motorola is expected to introduce the third-generation Motorola Moto G this coming Tuesday, July 28th. A picture of the handset sitting in its box has surfaced and reveals that a pair of extra back covers, one blue and one green, comes with the device. The specs of the phone have been confirmed by information inside the box, and include a Gorilla Glass protected 5-inch screen with resolution of 720 x 1280. That works out to a 294ppi pixel density. The handset also supports dual micro-SIM capabilities and has an IP X7 waterproof rating. A quad-core 1.4GHz CPU powers the phone.

The phone's screen protector lists the 13MP camera that is on back of the unit, and the 5MP snapper that adorns the front. It also mentions the third-gen Moto G's support for 4G LTE connectivity and the 16GB of expandable internal memory that is inside this specific unit. Other specs previously leaked include the 2470mAh battery that keeps the lights on.

We could see two different versions of the third-generation Moto G unveiled on Tuesday. One model would come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, while the other would contain 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Both models were recently sent into India and appeared on the Zauba website.

Stay with us this weekend for any last second leaks. Don't forget that on Tuesday, when Motorola holds its media event, we will have all of the news as it breaks.
