First Sony Xperia Z5+ promo image allegedly leaks out.

Let's forget a bit about Samsung's big announcements from earlier today, and concentrate our attention on what may be the first promo image to show Sony's unannounced Xperia Z5+

Appeared somewhere in China, said image seemingly presents a "Sony Xperia 70+", which is believed to be the Xperia Z5+. Not long ago, we heard that Sony was also readying an "Xperia 60" and an "Xperia 70" - these may be codenames for the Xperia Z5 Compact and the regular Xperia Z5

It's said that the Xperia Z5+ could be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, while sporting a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display of unknown size. Of course, this won't be Sony's first Quad HD handset, since the company already announced the Z4v, which is about to be released by Verizon Wireless in the US.

For now, there's no word on what else the Xperia Z5+ will offer. Anyway, assuming the promo image seen below is genuine, it seems that the new smartphone doesn't look too different from the Z3+ / Z4 and the Z4v.

Sony might plan to officially unveil the new Xperia Z5 line-up (including the Z5, Z5+, and Z5 Compact) next month, on September 2, at IFA 2015.
