First leaked teaser picture of Xiaomi Mi 5 suggests a fingerprint scanner

Xiaomi Mi 5 name popped up quite a few times throughout the last year and yet it is still under wraps. The most recent leak from AnTuTu's result database spilled the beans on the power of its chipset - suggesting either a new generation of Snapdragon 810 or 820, or perhaps the latest MediaTek Helio X20 with ten-core tri-cluster processor.
Anyway the rest of the rumors united around a 5.3" Quad HD display, 4 gigs of RAM and a 16MP OIS camera. USB Type-C port completes the rumor roundup.
Today, we got a supposedly leaked teaser image of the Xiaomi Mi 5. It reveals pretty much nothing but the possibility of a fingerprint scanner.

We boosted the contrast a little bit, but we still got nothing from the Chinese text below. Hopefully the official announcement will happen soon.

Xiaomi Mi 4c spotted at TENAA, benchmarked already

Xiaomi Mi 4i was launched this spring as an alternative, more affordable version of the popular Xiaomi Mi 4. It features a 5" IPS 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 chipset and s wrapped in plastic instead of glass.
Today a new Xiaomi Mi 4c leaked from various sources - the Chinese TENAA certification body, AnTuTu benchmark database, and previously it was spotted on Geekbench results.

The pictures from TENAA reveals absolutely the same body and measurements as the Xiaomi Mi 4i. It seems the new Mi 4c is just a small upgrade over the 4i and will keep the slim profile and matte rear cover. Its footprint and weight are absolutely identical with its predecessor, too.

But while the Mi 4c will offer the same 5" 1080p screen, it will bring an upgraded chipset - Snapdragon 808. The SoC, which debuted within the LG G4, packs a hexa-core processor with 2x Cortex-A57 at 1.8GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.44GHz, Adreno 418 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The Android version has also been bumped up to 5.1.1 Lollipop, which suggests the Xiaomi Mi 4c will most probably run on the MIUI v7.
The rest of the specs confirmed by TENAA are the same as the Mi 4i - a 13MP main camera with dual-LED flash, a 5MP selfie snapper, 16GB non-expandable storage, LTE connectivity, and 3,100 mAh battery.
All of those leaks suggest the Xiaomi Mi 4c announcement should be happening very soon.

Latest rumored Xiaomi Mi 5 specs include 5.3-inch QHD screen, SD-820, 4GB of RAM!

Earlier today, we told you that the Xiaomi Mi 5 scored an impressive 73,075 on the AnTuTu benchmark test. Now, we have a list of what is rumored to be the latest specs belonging to Xiaomi's next flagship phone. Already delayed as Xiaomi waits for the Snapdragon 820 to become available, we could see the Mi 5 launch in March as the first smartphone to carry Qualcomm's new powerhouse chipset.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumored to be equipped with a 5.3-inch, 1440 x 2560 resolution screen. That combination will bring you a pixel density of 554ppi. The Snapdragon 820 SoC is powering the phone with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside with 16GB/64GB of non-expandable storage. A 16MP camera with a dual LED flash is on back with a fingerprint scanner on board. A USB-Type C connector will be available, and the handset is powered by a 3030mAh battery. Android 5.1.1 will be pre-installed on the Xiaomi Mi 5, with the recently announced MIUI 7 running on top.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to be offered for a price under $400 USD. Measuring just 5.3mm thin, this is going to be a svelte device that will fit in any pocket. While it all sounds great, we need to take this with a grain (or pinch) of salt since the model is unannounced. We are also looking forward to hearing about the larger-screened Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus, which could feature a 5.7-inch screen and a camera combo of 24MP/13MP from back to front.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime may launch in India with more RAM, storage

Next week, on August 13, Xiaomi will officially unveil MIUI 7, the latest version of its Android-based mobile operating system. We've already heard that the Redmi Note 2 might finallydebut at the same event, and now we can apparently add another device to the list.
It looks like the Redmi 2 Prime will be launched in India soon. That's because it was listed by Amazon India for a while, and through that listing we have information about its specs.
The Redmi 2 Prime is essentially going to be nothing but the slightly beefed up version of the original Redmi 2 which got official at the beginning of this year. This variation is already up for grabs in China with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, and for some reason Xiaomi will offer it as a newly named phone in India.
The rest of the specs are shared with the entry-level model, so you're still going to get MIUI 6 based on Android 4.4 KitKat, a 4.7-inch 720p touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP selfie snapper, and a 2,200 mAh battery. At the helm will be the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU.
