Android Apps Content Ratings

Developers of Android apps and games will have to give a rating to all new and existing games. If they fail to do so, then their apps will be rated "mature" by default: this is according to an announcement made on a blog by Google representative, Eric Chu of the Android Developer Ecosystem.

So from now, we will know which of the following four types of content we can expect: all, pre-teen, teen or mature. With such a move, Google hopes to reign in criticisms that are pouring in about adult content being freely available on Android phones. Apple, on the other hand, always evaluates its content before uploading it to their App Store.
