Wii 2 not straight away

As sales of Nintendo's Wii are slowing decreasing, many observers are asking themselves what the Japanese video gaming company is waiting for to update its family-friendly console. It does not benefit from high definition image quality, like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is one of the reasons behind the lack of enthusiasm some gamers have for the Wii.

In spite of this, a new version that includes HD will not be available on the market in 2011. This is what Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime stated before adding: "As we sit here today we're saying the Wii has many, many more units to sell. After we've reached an installed base of 45 million here in the US, we can have a conversation about the next generation." In any event, with the launch of the 3DS Nintendo has enough on its plate over the next few months!
